Conceived and developed by PARTO atelier for the festival FORMA DA VIZINHANÇA, the project FUTURE ARCHAEOLOGIES transforms Praça dos Arsenalistas, in the Fujacal neighbourhood, into a greenhouse-laboratory. Here, local clay and neighbourhood stories become raw materials for imagining new ways of living together.
Over the coming months, a range of ceramicists from the region — from traditional figurative makers in Barcelos to contemporary and experimental artists — will lead workshops open to neighbours and curious visitors alike. These are hands-on sessions to learn techniques, get stuck into clay, and create present-day artefacts designed to be (re)discovered in the future.
Please note: All workshops will be held in Portuguese.
Workshop location: Praça dos Arsenalistas (Fujacal), Braga
Each workshop has a participation fee of €10. Tickets are available at the Theatro Circo and gnration box offices, as well as at BOL points of sale and online (see links below).
Residents of Fujacal have a limited number of free tickets reserved.
